My Friend's Daughter
My friend has a daughter. She is five years old. She is very cute. She has big eyes and long hair. She likes dolls and Mickey Mouse. She likes candy and cakes. When her mother and she visit me, I give her candy. She is very happy. She likes drawing. The pictures she draws are very well. I like her.
How to Improve My English
Last year my English class was difficult for me. It wasn't
easy for me to understand the teacher when she talked to the
class. She spoke too quickly, and I couldn't understand every
word. Also I was afraid to speak in class. Then I started to
watch English TV and practised speaking with my classmates.
It helped me a lot. Now my English is better than before. I
enjoy learning English.
Build a Blog
Today I took a computer class. In the class, the teacher
thaught us how to build a blog. First, I went to blogger.com
and created an account. Second, I named my blog. My blog's
address is Leyuxie.blogspot.com. Third, I choose a template
that I like. Finally, I posted my writing on my blog.
My Father's Birthday
This Thursday was my father's birthday. We went to eat a
buffet. The buffet food was very rich. There was lamb, beef,
chicken, shrimps, vegetables...... There were various kinks
of sweets and drink also. My parents like to eat lamb. My
brother and I like eating chicken. On my father's birthday
I wished him bo be happy every day. I wish he has a good
health. We had a good time this evening.

Do you know that potato chips were invented by mistake?
Chips were invented by a chef called George Crum. They
were invented in 1853. George Crum cooked them for a long
time until they were crispy. And he sprinkled lots of salt
on them so they were really salty.
Continents and Oceans
Our earth is not flat, it is round like a ball. There're
seven continents in the world. They is Africa, Asia, Europe,
North America, South America, Oceania and Antarctica.
Australia is the largest country in Oceania. Antrarctica
is covered with snow all year round. Only a few scientists
have visited this continent to do research work. Two thirds
of the earth's surface is covered with water, there are four
oceans in the world. They is the Pacific, the Atlantic, the
Arctic and the Indian Ocean. The pacific, the largest ocean,
lies between Asia and America. The Arctic, the smallest
ocean, is in the north of the world.
Fly a Kite
One day my nephew was flying a kite. Suddenly it rained heavily.
He had to stop flying his kite. The kite and his clothing were wet.
A few minutes later the rain stopped and the sun came out. He
changed his clothing and flew his kite again.
Buy Shoes
This Sunday, I went shopping with my mother. We went to a big mall.
There are different stores in the mall. My mother wanted to buy a pair
of shoes. We went to a shoes store. We chose shoes together. My mother
chose a pair of brown shoes, but I chose a pair of black shoes. After my
mother had tried on two pairs of shoes, she thought the pair of black
shoes was better. Then she bought the black shoes. We all liked this
pair of shoes.
A Messy Bedroom
This is the bedroom of a lazy young boy. On the floor,
there is a fishing rod, a fishing head, a guitar, a broken
video lape and a radio. The bed is not made. There is a
basketball on the bed. The drawers of the wardrobe are
open, and the clothes are in a mess. The closet is messy,
too. There is a sock on the lamp. The books are very messy.
I hope the owner of this room will clean it up!
My House
I live in Oakland. My house has a livingroom, a kitchen,
three bedrooms and a bathroom. My mother likes cooking in
the kitchen. I often do my homework and use computer in my
bedroom. Behind my house, there is a back-yard. We plant
many flowers and vegetables in the back-yard. Sometimes I
play basketball with my nephew in the back-yard. I like my
house.
My Weekends
My weekends are always the same. I always do my homework
on Saturday morning. I always go shopping with my mother on
Saturday afternoon. On Saturday night, I play computer games.
On Sunday morning, I get up early. I help my mother clean the
house and wash the clothes. I always go out on Sunday afternoons.
Sometimes I visit my uncle. Sometimes I visit my sister. On
Sunday nights, I watch TV with my family. My weekends are very
nice. I really like my weekends.
My Hometwon
I grew up in ZhongShan,China. It's in SouthChina.
It's a clean and beauiful middlesized city. It's busy
and noisy when you are downtown, but it's very quiet when
you're in a residential district. Although ZhongShan's
air isn't better than in the U.S., it's better than in
other cities in china. Everywhere, we can see trees and
flowers.My neighbors are very nice. They like to go to
the park after dinner. Living in ZhongShan is very
convenient. I like it.
